A Brief History

Established in 2007 as an antiques and fine art valuation consultancy, the company held it’s first sale in 2008.  With a focus on making the auction world accessible to all, providing a professional and personal service and upholding the highest standards by choosing to be regulated by the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors, we are proud of what the company has achieved.  Holding monthly general and antique sales for many years the business has since evolved to cater for the increased impact of internet buying and the changes that has delivered.  We can be confident that buyers worldwide will view our lots and participate in our sales online, and that we can compete on a level playing field with other salerooms the world over.

We no longer sell furniture or general lots and hold less frequent sales, with a greater focus on individual items and our jewellery specialism.  By scaling down and re-modelling the business we have been able to keep our overheads low, therefore enabling us to pass on these savings to our clients in the form of competitive fees.

As a company we focus heavily on the care we provide to our clients, in particular those who are vulnerable or unsure of the services we provide, and need a guiding hand.  We are always happy to provide advice where we can, and to take the time to talk through the auction or valuation processes until the client is happy and feels fully informed.

Pippa is a highly qualified general valuer of antiques and fine art with over twenty five years experience. She studied for a degree in Fine Art Valuation at Southampton Institute and then went on to work in various salerooms nationwide.  Appearing on BBC’s Bargain Hunt as an auctioneer and expert during it’s early years, she went on to work for and appear on BBC’s Flog It and Cash In The Attic and ITV’s Dickinson’s Real Deal, continuing to work for that production today.  Studying with the Gemmological Association of Great Britain Pippa obtained her FGA and her DGA qualifications and has specialised in jewellery for over fifteen years.  Pippa is also a qualified member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors within their personal property/arts and antiques division.
